GIFTING IDEAS

Ruchita Bansal of gifting and invitations company Izhaar talks about the latest trends in wedding invites and gifting.

For the baby girl announcement of the Adanis, we designed a saffron coloured box with a woven, beaded lid. On opening the box, it played the Gayatri mantra as the baby girl’s name is “Gayatri”. The box contained a Jaipuri quilt, mishri, and a potli carrying the auspicious marigold seeds.

What’s your range like?

We have categorized our range into six segments: Gifting, Invitation, Juniors, Gourmet, Amanat and Zilver. The “invites” value moments of your life by making them larger than life with creativity, detailing and delicate embellishments. All in all, it’s a box full of surprises and memories.

The Junior range is for baby announcements, baby showers and birthdays. Izhaar Gourmet features handcrafted delicacies that you can pick for any occasion. We elevate the aesthetic appeal of gifts, by bringing in a contemporary twist to heirloom crafts. Izhaar Zilver is thick, high-micron plated luxury silverware.

How do you customise the needs of the wedding clientele?

Our clients come up with briefs according to their taste and our team of creative designers transforms their ideas into magnificent creations. Trends change with every season, so most of our gifts and invites are always up-to-date.

What offbeat ideas can you share for wedding invites and for gifting?

We created a boxed invite in the shape of Balaji and Shrinath ji temples. The detailing of the invite makes it look like an actual mandir, which can be adorned in the pooja corner of your house.

What do you have in your luxury collection?

We change our collection every season with the fluctuating trends. This year, some of our most famous collections are the Mustang Collection, Gingham Bee Collection, Peshkari Collection, Golden Manka collection, to name a few.

Tell us about some of your unique customisations?

One of the recent unique customisations was for the baby girl announcement of the Adanis. The client’s brief was that the baby announcement should be on the lines of religion and spirituality. So we designed a saffron coloured box with a woven beaded lid. On opening the box, it played the Gayatri mantra as the baby girl’s name is “Gayatri”. The box contained a Jaipuri quilt, a beautiful container with mishri, and a potli carrying Marigold seeds, as the flower is auspicious in Hindu rituals.

How do you celebrate style and craftsmanship through your brand?

We try to introduce Indian art forms in an innovative way to create an increasing demand for handicraft. Steeped in history and religion, the crafts of India are diverse and each state’s craft is rooted in the local cultures and customs. We give a modern twist to traditional crafts.
